IKOR and Vicomtech exhibit a system of assistance to the operator in manual assembly processes through Augmented Reality in the Advanced Factories Trade Show

Between 9 and 11 April Vicomtech and IKOR exhibit at the Advanced Factories Fair in Barcelona the result of the project they have developed in collaboration and which has given rise to an optical inspection system that helps operators during the processes of assembly and manual assembly of electronic components.

It is a vision system that in real time and through Augmented Reality, guides the operator during the manual process of assembling components, allowing him to optimize productivity, increase confidence, safety and satisfaction of the operator, as well as gain flexibility and improve quality ratios.

The project will be exhibited at the stand of the company Infaimon, supplier of the necessary hardware to elaborate the system and that will take advantage of the opportunity to show technologically advanced projects carried out with its equipment.

IKOR and Vicomtech have been collaborating for years in projects oriented to the world of Industry 4.0, being able in this way IKOR to evolve towards a connected and automated company. The SIVI project was the result of this collaboration. It is currently being validated on a pilot line at the IKOR facilities and, if the tests are satisfactory, it is expected to be implemented during 2019 in the production processes of the group's three production plants.
