The agreement reached between both institutions contemplates the promotion of activities and programs to support the creation of new technology companies related to the business activities of IKOR as a company specialised in the design, development and manufacturing of electronic circuits. In addition, the City Department of Economic Promotion, through San Sebastian's Development Ministry, has undertaken to collaborate with IKOR in the creation of itineraries to retain and develop qualified young people, generating professional opportunities for development in this field.

The City Department of Economic Promotion, through San Sebastian's Development Ministry, seeks to strengthen San Sebastian as a leader in research and innovation, and it does so in particular by committing itself to people —both local and international talent— as the foundation of this strategy. Along these lines, and within the framework of "Connecting Talent", a series of services, programs and aid initiatives have been deployed which focus, in particular, on the connection of highly-qualified young people with innovative business projects linked to R&D. The goal, in this case, is mainly to support the development of entrepreneurial talent, facilitating access to the resources of both entities in order to develop technological projects with a high added value.

The Deputy Mayor, Ernesto Gasco, pointed out that "this agreement reinforces our commitment to the ‘Connecting Talent’ strategy in order to attract, develop and retain talent; and, in this case, we are doing so, again, based on a principle of public-private collaboration, with a company that is considered to be cutting-edge on the international scene – a leader that is headquartered here in San Sebastian and with which we have identified an opportunity to accompany young companies and entrepreneurs with innovative projects, through a specific accompaniment model".

At IKOR, we wish to underscore that for years our philosophy and strategic goal has been committed to supporting local talent and start-ups, this being reflected in the collaboration agreements that we have signed over the years with universities, and in our programme to promote entrepreneurial initiatives.
