Three IKOR plants get ISO/TS16949 certification

The ISO/TS16949 certification awarded to the three manufacturing plants, located in Spain, Mexico and China, adds to the ISO9000 and ISO14000.

IKOR's expansion in the automotive industry decided the group's board to develop a quality management system based on the requirements of TS/16949. This renowned technical specification for continuous improvement in the global automotive industry IKOR will apply to clients from other industries with the aim of improving quality and service standards.

In addition, IKOR established a comprehensive standard quality system for all its manufacturing plants in Spain, China and Mexico.

To apply the system requirements, the firm restructured facilities, methods, processes and procedures so that they followed a single model for the manufacturing of electronic circuits and systems.

As a consequence, clients will get the same processes, methods and quality standards in the three continents and the products made by the company will be manufactured and transported more easily.

Being awarded the ISO/TS 16949 certification ensures the provision of continuous improvement, emphasising defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.

The ISO/TS 16949 technical specification guarantees continuous improvement of products and processes, which means products, and vehicles, that are highly reliable.

  • It results in overall improvement of competitive capacity.
  • It guarantees same quality and performance at the global level by establishing a common quality management system in all of IKOR's manufacturing plants.
