IKOR Group, a global electronic circuit design and manufacturing company, joined last 1 January, through acquisition, the ebm-papst group, a world market leader in fans and motors based in Mulfingen (Baden-Würtemberg).

This union means we will be significantly strengthened, as we will have the experience and backing of one of Europe’s most important business groups. Our technologies, our know-how, our skills and our global positioning will be enhanced by their accompaniment.

The ebm-papst group, based in Mulfingen, Germany, (turnover of €1.6 bn), has a workforce of 12,000 employees, 18 production facilities, 57 branches and sales offices around the world, and is the world’s most important manufacturer of fan and motors. We can find their products in many industries such as ventilation, household appliances, telecommunications, etc...

"Under the umbrella of ebm-papst, we will be extending and increasing our technological leadership even more. The access to the global market that comes with them opens up new opportunities to improve our projects for growth", explains Miguel Ángel Sierra, President of IKOR.

Rainer Hundsdörfer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ebm-papst: “For us, as a system supplier, the acquisition of IKOR, a specialist in electronics, means that our experience in technology and know-how has been improved and will be further reinforced".

Before this union, both companies had already experienced successful cooperation.
