SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

IKOR CHINA

POSITION: Supply Chain Manager
LOCATION: Suzhou, China
STARTING DATE: June 2019

MISSION:

  • Overall, lead company’s Purchasing and supplier development activities in a short and long term perspective and ensure timely and adequate deliveries, a professional and proactive operation and a constant cost reduction fromour supplies.
  • Identify, develop & qualify suppliers in China and other Asian countries to support IKOR group sourcing strategies
  • Provide leadership and management for daily operation like quotations and bidding for the specific commodity.
  • Ensure rapid implementation of a well functioning Pinwin system, maintain and update supplier base in Pinwin system
  • Evaluate and train staff in department to ensure a generally professional and proactive operation.
  • Co-operate closely with Purchasing Management in Spain (and possibly other IKOR units) as regards the Supply Chain Management project and for general group supplies
  • Communicate effectively with sourcing personnel and other various functional team leaders & personnel at IKOR group in purchasing, quality, and engineering for effective and efficient project executions

CORPORATE RESPONSABILITIES:

The main responsabilities to be carried out by the candidate will be:

  • Ensure that the Quality & Environment policy and Quality & Environment objectives are established for the ISO9001, IATF16949 & ISO14001 and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Ensure the integration of the ISO9001, IATF16949 & ISO14001 requirements into the organization’s business processes ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001.
  • Promote the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking.
  • Ensure the availability of resources. Ensure that the processes are delivering their intended outputs. Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Act as point of contact for assigned business unit.
  • Align with Business Unit on product specific goals and priorities in regions.
  • Work out the purchasing strategy and supplier strategy with group to contribute to plant annual target.
  • To build up and develop the ongoing partnership relationship with strategic suppliers to remain company’s competitive advantage along the supply chain.
  • Drive continuous improvement actions in cost, quality and lead time etc.
  • Investigates all new developments relative to material and makes recommendations for cost reduction and improved quality levels.
  • Develop timetables to ensure the availability of materials to support new product launch programs.
  • Prioritize staff workloads in order to meet product needs/objectives in all area. Develop and train staff to ensure high skill levels.
  • Oversees purchase of services and supplies necessary for the operation of a business unit including raw materials.
  • Ensures effective price negotiation on continue improvement. Approves purchase orders. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance factors of major subcontractors.
  • Reporting performance on productivities on monthly basis.Take the leadership on reports & follow up/verifying the corrective & preventive action.
  • Manage the risks and opportunities that can affect conformity of products and services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed.
  • Report the ISO 9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001active performance to management and the report as be the evidence for the improvement in ISO 9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001system.
  • Push the ISO 9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001system be set up and conducted by suppliers, plan the annual audit for supplier’s ISO 9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or Accounting.
  • At least 10 years experience in related area.
  • CPM or CPSM is preferred. MBA is preferred. 
  • Procurement experience at the leadership level; must have experience working with senior management and understand the role of procurement within the manufacturing and product development arenas.
  • Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong product knowledge and understanding.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
